small german diesel engine Jung R 42 C

By 5zu6

About the real one:

The Jung R 42 C was built in 32 units between 1955 and 1962. It was based on the Wehrmacht locomotive R360C, the later V36. In addition to the predecessor companies of the Siegener Kreisbahn (KWD, FGE), it was used by other private and works railways. The German Armed Forces “Bundeswehr” also procured several examples painted in olive green.

Style: Siegener Kreisbahn, Freien Grunder Eisenbahn, Kleinbahn Weidenau-Deuz

About the moc:
The Jung R 42 C gondola locomotive of the Weidenau-Deuz (KWD) small railway was my first railway MOC in 2019. As there are now numerous new parts available and I have gained five more years of building experience, it was time to revise this model. The height of the superstructure in particular was not prototypical. The locomotive is now powered by a Technic L motor, as in the prototype, via the dummy shaft.

Minimum radius: R104
