The Eas wagons are standard wagons. A special feature is the front flap, which allows these wagons to be unloaded in a tipping system. The newer wagons, built in the 1980s, largely correspond to the UIC standard wagons, including the 9-meter pivot spacing. Their origin can often be identified by several features. All wagons are available with and without parking brakes, and almost all ended up with the DB.
With this model, special emphasis was placed on stability and true-to-scale functionality. All doors open and close, and loading and unloading is possible just like the original. There are also front flaps, which can be opened remotely.

The wagon can be built in many different colors and shapes. The following image shows variants that have already been built.

The wagons can be built in many colors; unfortunately, part 44861 isn’t available from TLC in reddish brown. However, it can be found from other manufacturers. The front hatch axles are either cut from 3mm rigid hose or made from shortened bars.
The axles and wheels are from Bricktrack. They are mounted in MR52ZZ ball bearings and completed with M2 washers as spacers.
The bogies can also be built with different coupling systems. For example, Kadee Coupler 743Z from Brick Model Railroader is installed in one bogie and standard Lego couplers in the other.
The American couplers offer advantages in terms of mechanical strength. They can also be easily disconnected using a magnetic uncoupler, even remotely. The bogie sides looks easy made, but they need also a higher stability. The remote push back system use a pneumatic actuator with 5 bar air pressure for speed. And it works now since 2 years very stabil on exhibitions.
