About the real one:
The “ES64F4” is an European standard gauge multi-system electric locomotive manufactured by Siemens. Designated “Baureihe 189” in Germany, the largest fleet of these locomotives is operated by the Deutsche Bahn Cargo rail transport company, where they are used to haul heavy freight trains all across Europe. Depending in which countries they’re certified to operate in, the manufacturer has designated the locomotives into further sub-classes. The overall outside look stays the same, but depending on the necessary technical equipment, many details can be different.

About the moc:
I started working on this model in January 2021 and the first draft was based on my aesthetically similiar moc of the Bombardier “Traxx” locomotive.
The entire model was reworked from summer of 2025 to spring 2026 and converted to a geared drivetrain instead of train motors. Many new and exotic building techniques were used to update the model. This means some areas of the model are now more fragile than before.
This moc is for experienced builders! Read the descriptions!

Custom parts:
– Custom M-wheels manufactured by HA-Bricks or any other 24mm (without flange) diameter wheels
– “Hose rigid – 3mm” aka Flex Tubes need to be cut to length
– Monopods & U-Clips manufactured by Brickarms
– Can be fitted with custom LED lights
Rare parts:
The pantographs use so called “ice skates” from the Lego Bellville series. If you have a surplus kidney, you can sell it to aquire these parts (They’re really, really expensive, but look nice).
They can however be substituted by using the same technique as the other pantographs.
The lower fronts uses Blaster Guns. These particular pieces can be quite rare and expensive too.
Power:
– Standard PowerFunctions L-Motors
– Buwizz or similiar power source
Minimum radius: R104
If you want to upload the .io file to BrickLink as a wanted list, you first need to open the file and remove the custom parts like the wheels and cut hose rigid.
